Monthly Tip #1 – Step by Step to Greeting Cards

The new Print Projects feature in StudioLine Photo can turn your pictures into a greeting card that can be printed, exported or emailed. Here’s how:

·     In the Image Archive, click on an image of your choice.

·     On the QuickStep bar, click “Print Projects”.

·     In the panel “Print Project”, open the “Greeting Cards” group (or any other that you may have downloaded), choose a layout and click "Continue".

·     Enter a name and click “Continue”.

·     Some layouts may prompt you to customize your text. Complete the form and click “OK”.

·     StudioLine Photo will insert your picture and open the result in the page editor.

·     To further customize your text, click “Edit” on the QuickStep bar.

·     If you’re satisfied with the result, click on “Print”, “Email” or “Export”.

Monthly Tip #2 – Clever Ways to Select Images and Files

You may have encountered this dilemma already: there are a number of images in a folder that you would like to select for printing, copying or similar functions.  You may also want to load a series of images from your camera. It would be cumbersome, if you had to repeat a function with each individual image one at a time. Fortunately, Windows offers a number of clever keyboard shortcuts to select multiple objects, even if they are not adjacent to one another:

·     Clicking a single image will select it. You can also click on the background and drag the mouse around one or multiple images.

·     To add additional images to your selection, hold down the “Ctrl” key and then click the mouse on additional images. You can also hold down the “Ctrl” key while you click on the background and then use the mouse to drag around additional images.

·     If you change your mind about an image, you can de-select it. Again, holding down the “Ctrl” key while clicking on the image will remove it from your selection. Or, hold down the “Ctrl” key while dragging around images you wish to remove from your selection.

·     To select all images in a folder, hold down the “Ctrl” key and press “A”.

·     To start over, simply release the “Ctrl” key and click elsewhere in the folder.

These keyboard tricks are universal in Windows. Thus, they apply to most other StudioLine panels, including the StudioLine Explorer, Print Spooler, etc.
